This project explored basic concepts of construction in a residential setting. At 1/16" scale, this model features everything from the foundation of the house, framing, plates, and rafters. This project was to challenge us on materials for the model representation and was to connect elements learned from classes. The Wall Section Model was a group exploration of our understanding of construction and this project in particular opened my eyes visually to what connections mean in architecture and design. This is a personal favorite project that I completed early in architecture school.
